Here, life plays at a softer tempo. It perhaps needed an Italian name. A name that speaks of rhythm, harmony, and above all, that delightful desire to slow down when returning home. We named it ADAGIO. In Gujan-Mestras, in a residential and peaceful environment, this single-storey villa of nearly 200 m² hides behind a dark and elegant silhouette, almost unexpected amidst the vegetation. The black is a deliberate choice here. That of the exterior cladding, the joinery, the large library in the living room, and even the kitchen. But far from darkening the house, it highlights the light, warmed by wood and awakened by the deep greens of the garden. At the heart of the house, the living room invites you to settle in. A fireplace, an impressive library, wide openings to the outside, and, extending from it, a kitchen with a strong character compose a warm and unique living space. Then ADAGIO reveals what truly makes it different. With seven bedrooms in total, it has been designed for living together... while preserving each person’s independence. Four bedrooms have an autonomous layout. They currently host guests, but tomorrow? Family and friends passing through, grown children, offices for remote work, professional or liberal activities, space dedicated to clientele, tourist accommodation project... This part of the house can write many other stories. Outside, the decor changes again. On a plot of 906 m², the generous vegetation envelops the house and protects its privacy. Amidst the palm trees and foliage, the 32 m² pool adds that turquoise touch that contrasts so beautifully with the black cladding and wooden terraces. Four parking spaces further facilitate daily life. Built in 2005, entirely on one level and located near the Bassin d’Arcachon, ADAGIO is one of those houses that can be reinvented according to one’s own life project. A large family home, a place where several generations maintain their independence, a house to work and live in the same place, or a welcoming project... Each person can compose their own score here.
