Quattroporte is Italian and means “four-door”. So the Maserati Quattroporte has been Maserati’s four-door luxurious sports sedan since its introduction in 1962. Since then there have been six generations of the Quattroporte with the last one introduced in 2013. It is available with a diesel V6 and gas V6 or V8. It combines the benefits of a luxurious sedan with the ones of a Maserati sports car. It has a discrete look while being an absolute serious sports car that would not even fear racing against a
Porsche Cayman for example. The Quattroporte is not only more exclusive than its competitors but it also delivers a very special driving experience. It is way more agile and quick around corners than you would expect a 5.26m to be. This may be due to the 100kg weight the Quattroporte lost against his predecessor.
The Quattroporte’s opponents would be the
Audi S8,
Aston Martin Rapide and
Porsche Panamera.
