Quattroporte is Italian and means “four-door”. So the Maserati Quattroporte has been Maserati’s four-door luxurious sports sedan since its introduction in 1962. Since then there have been six generations of the Quattroporte with the last one introduced in 2013. It is available with a diesel V6 and gas V6 or V8. It combines the benefits of a luxurious sedan with the ones of a Maserati sports car. It has a discrete look while being an absolute serious sports car that would not even fear racing against a Porsche Cayman
for example. The Quattroporte is not only more exclusive than its competitors but it also delivers a very special driving experience. It is way more agile and quick around corners than you would expect a 5.26m to be. This may be due to the 100kg weight the Quattroporte lost against his predecessor.
The Quattroporte’s opponents would be the Audi S8
, Aston Martin Rapide
and Porsche Panamera.
