From racetrack to road, this example of the Maserati MC12 represents only one of fifty models ever created. As the marque entered the FIA GT Championship, signalling a return to motorsports after a 37-year absence, a road-going version of the car was produced to meet the FIA’s minimum homologation requirements. As such, this racing pedigree can be seen in every aspect of the car. Derived from the legendary Ferrari Enzo, it will hit 0-100 in 3.8 seconds thanks to a 6.0 L Ferrari F140 V12, topping out at a maximum speed of just over 330km/h. The chassis is a single piece of carbon and nomex. Body panels are made entirely of carbon fibre, which underwent extensive wind tunnel testing to maximise downforce across every single surface. The underside of the car is smooth, coupled with rear bumper diffusers to take advantage of ground effect aerodynamics.
An iconic white-and-blue colour scheme is a tribute to the America Camoradi racing team that drove the MC12’s racing lineage, the Maserati Tipo Birdcage, in the early 1960s.
This car joins the collection from an original owner, delivered to and residing in Korea, with just 5,500km on the odometer.
A genuine rarity.
