Rolling off production lines originally in 2001, the high-performance Lamborghini Murcielago was named after a fighting bull that survived 28 sword strokes against the legendary bullfighter Rafael Molina Sanchez. In a rare display, the bullfighter spared Murcielago’s life and instead gifted him to Don Antonio Miura, a local breeder. This gave rise to the name of one of Lamborghini’s first cars. In Spanish, murcielago means bat.
Since its production, manufacture has been limited so there are roughly around 4,000 produced in the entire world. It may be a bit tricky finding one for sale if you are looking to buy, but it is not impossible. You can find a mint Murcielago used on JamesList for a very competitive price without the hassle of auctions. If you want to own one of these exotic, scissor doored sports cars, this is the place to find them.
