The 1970 Dodge Charger "Tantrum" is a custom resto-mod designed and built by SpeedKore out of Grafton, WI. It features an astounding 1650 hp Mercury Racing V8 QC4v DOHC 9L twin-turbo engine with a TREMEC T-56 6-speed manual transmission. Every part of the body from the firewall forward is custom-fabricated by SpeedKore. It also has a custom-built chassis and roll cage integrated into the interior structure. SpeedKore, known for their tasteful and intricate carbon fiber and billet fabrication, went above and beyond with the Tantrum. Not only are both the inner and outer door panels constructed with custom carbon fiber, but there is also carbon fiber detailing along the front custom-billeted grille and throughout the custom dash featuring Classic Instruments gauges - even the stick shift is carbon fiber! The interior is lined with retro-modern leather and Alcantara upholstery. The entire vehicle rests on HRE S104 wheels, 19" in front and 20" in back, and brand new Michelin Pilot Super Sport 345-series tires.
This absolutely unique automobile made its public debut at SEMA in Las Vegas, 2015, and drove away with the Gran Turismo, the award for the Best Domestic Car in show.
