It is crafted in 18k 5N pink gold with a striking Bucherer blue opaline dial contrasting superbly against the gold. The dial features sword-shaped hour and minute hands, angular bar-styled indexes, a seconds subdial, and a date window accented with pink gold. The 87172/000R-B512 is accompanied by a dark blue Mississippiensis alligator strap and secured with an 18k pink gold pin buckle.

The power behind the Traditionnelle is the Swiss automatic Vacheron in-house movement known as the calibre 2455, and offers functions that include hours, minutes, small seconds, and the date; this movement can be admired fully via the sapphire crystal caseback. With an approximate power reserve of up to 40 hours and water-resistant to 30 meters.
