Set in a landscape of extraordinary beauty, this farmhouse is one of the most distinctive properties to be found in the Val d’Orcia Natural Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The property is located within a 700-ha reserve, with a private and fenced garden of about 2.5 ha, cared with attention to the smallest details, with a small orchard and a beautiful selection of roses. The Villa, expertly restored and built on 3 levels with an original silhouette, stretches out following the profile of the hill. Walking on the left side of the house, up to the end of the long side, taking advantage of the slope of the ground, a deck was built resting on 2 columns, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view going from the Rocca di Radicofani to Bagno Vignoni, with Monte Amiata right in front of it dominating the whole valley. The Villa is furnished with antiques and unique pieces of the highest quality, highly sought-after fabrics cover armchairs and sofas, and is enriched by many works by contemporary and modern artists. On the ground floor we have a big living area with a fireplace and two large windows overlooking the countryside below, the dining room, the kitchen and 2 bedrooms. On the first floor there are 3 other large bedrooms, all overlooking the lands around the property, and one of which is also accessed by an external staircase. From a beautiful marble staircase, you go downstairs where we find a large office space from which we access the gym and the laundry, while on the side overlooking the garden there is a large suite with a big bathroom, and a spacious walk-in closet. The swimming pool, a 17x8 Culligan infinity edge, is located on the north side of the house from which you can enjoy an incomparable sunset over the Val d’Orcia.
Sarteano is located in the southern part of the Val d’Orcia, a short distance from the Autostrada del Sole and in the heart of one of the most beautiful landscaped areas in Tuscany. The farm is located within an exclusive estate of about 700 hectares, close to the renowned village of Castiglioncello sul Trinoro. Renowned restaurants are nearby, including Heinz Beck’s Castle of Fighine, spas, cities of art and nature reserves. Siena is about an hour’s drive, Florence about an hour and a half, Rome about two hours.
