This dreamlike villa is a historic residence with special charm, nestled in a quiet and exclusive hilly landscape just a few minutes from Pistoia. It was built in the early 19th century by Ing. Parri, the designer of the first railway line in central Italy. On the occasion of the inauguration of this railway line, even the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Leopoldo II, and the Crown Prince of Italy stayed at the villa, which makes its historical significance palpable to this day.
After careful restoration in the 1980s and extensive modernization in 2011/2012, the villa now combines the charm of bygone times with modern comforts. Elegant deluxe rooms, suites, and apartments offer a relaxing atmosphere that blends harmoniously with the extensive park grounds. Surrounded by flowers, cypress trees, fruit trees, herbs, and impressive old magnolias, the estate invites guests to linger with its panoramic infinity pool, cozy pool bar, outdoor wellness area with sauna and whirlpool, and small fitness room. Several terraced gardens with pavilions and lovingly designed lounge areas create additional retreats surrounded by greenery.
The historic Limonaia now serves as an atmospheric breakfast room with its own kitchen, wood-burning stove, and fireplace. The villa also has another professional kitchen. In a separate building renovated in 2015—the former workshop—two charming apartments with private terraces were created, as well as rooms for a wine cellar, storage space, and supplies. Another small wooden building houses a laundry room, ironing room, and sanitary facilities for the staff.
On a higher terrace, surrounded by olive trees, is the stylish veranda restaurant with an open professional kitchen. An insulated container serves as a pantry, while a small wooden house with two toilets is available for guests. Two spacious parking lots at the edge of the property ensure convenient access.
The estate comprises a total of around 19 hectares of land, stretching to the top of its own hill. In addition to around 800 olive trees and 15,000 medicinal plants, there is also an apiary with 40 beehives; part of the grounds is wooded. Numerous agricultural implements support the cultivation of the land, allowing Villa Parri to preserve its unique natural environment in all its glory.
