A building rich in history in the center of the village of Masi di Ruffré enjoys an exceptional position, just 1 km from the Mendola Pass and 5 km from Lake Caldaro.

The works in progress include: the installation of underfloor heating with heat pump, the installation of a photovoltaic system with storage system, the installation of new wooden shutters and triple glazed windows, the installation of new armored external doors, the completion of two more bathrooms, the completion of the electrical system, the laying of floors on all floors, the restoration of the original larch wood flooring in the attic and the high quality finishing and painting of all internal and external areas.

In the immediate vicinity there are numerous leisure activities, including a riding school, hiking trails, ski slopes, an 18-hole golf course, two small lakes, the Mendola Pass with the Kaiservilla, Lake Caldaro , a historic funicular, several jogging routes and impressive views of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This funicular, designed by the famous Swiss architect Emil Strub and one of the steepest in Europe, is still in operation after renovations.
Among the alpine pastures and green meadows of the Mendola Pass, many inhabitants of Caldaro and Appiano have small houses that they use during the hot summer months or on weekends. In winter, the area becomes the small ski resort of Mendola/Ruffrè.
