MODICA PALACE
In the center of Ispica, between Via Vittorio Veneto and Corso Umberto I, a splendid noble palace of approximately 1140m2 overlooks Piazza Brancati. The palace, built between the end of the 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s in neoclassical style, represents the classic noble residence of the time. The property consists of two parts, which are currently communicating, but which can be divided and have independent entrances: the main body, component of the historic building, which overlooks Piazza Antonio Brancati; and a second concrete structure, of ”recent” construction, next to the historic building, which overlooks Via Vittorio Veneto. Inside the walls there is a large patio accessible by car. The complex, in the past, was used as a convent and a school and today is composed as follows:
