Mafra Apartment

Hello, I’m the Sun.
I know this home rather well. In fact, I spend the whole day here.

In the morning, I come in from one side; in the afternoon, I appear on the other. This apartment has windows on two sides, and I make a point of finding my way around it — I don’t like leaving any rooms forgotten.

We’re in Ericeira, in a three-bedroom apartment with sea views, four balconies and a layout that, if you ask me, is very well thought out.

The living areas are on one side. On the other are the bedrooms, in a more private area separated by a door that lets you close it off from the rest of the home.

And yes, one of the bedrooms has its own bathroom.

They may seem like small details, but they make a real difference to everyday life.

Then there are the four balconies. Four different chances to open a door, let me in and enjoy the light that comes with living close to the sea.

And when I get a little carried away in summer, there’s a pool. It’s shared by just four buildings, giving it a more private feel.

There’s also parking, because I can take care of the light, but driving around looking for a space is beyond my remit.

A gated development? No. This is a place where neighbours cross paths and life happens outdoors.

You may be wondering whether the apartment has original finishes. It does. But it has been exceptionally well cared for, and the finishes have a timeless quality that still feels right today. There’s no need to change things just for the sake of it.

The building is also due to be repainted, and the asking price has been set with that in mind.

One more thing I’d rather tell you now: there’s no lift. After all, I’m the Sun — I’m not the sort of property listing that saves surprises for the viewing.

This is a home for someone who values a thoughtful layout, natural light throughout the day, outdoor space and the closeness to the sea that makes Ericeira so special.

As for me, I’ll carry on doing what I do best: making my way around the home as the day goes by.
