A property with origins dating back to the 1300s, 45 minutes to the West of Florence, with exceptional views and 31 hectares of land. The estate consists of two farmhouses, one of which has been converted into four apartments for short term holiday lets.

Passing through a tiny hamlet, then olive groves and pine forest when arrives at this hillside retreat and is immediately struck but the seclusion and tranquility of the location. The views are simply breathtaking to the west with the valley below and on clear days one can even see the Appenines in the distance.

The Property

The property is split between the owner dwelling and the barn apartments. The main house was fully restored some thirty years ago retaining wonderful original features, such as grandiose fireplaces and stone architraves, and providing three bedrooms. Then subsequently in the late 1990s the barn was restored to create four one-bedroom guest apartments, each of approximately 45 sqm.

In addition there is a large storeroom in the main house where further accommodation could be created and there is a garage in the barn.

Garden & Grounds

The property is surrounded by its own extensive land which includes pine woodland to explore and search for truffles, olive groves with approximately 300 trees from which olive oil is annually produced, 2 hectares of gardens and a large swimming pool of 6m x 12m, ideally situated for enjoying the glorious views.

Location

Access to the property is via approximately 1.5km of white road. The nearest services are just over ten minutes away by car in the lovely village of Pelago where one finds banks, post offices, a couple of restaurants, cafes, bakery and grocery stores. For larger stores and train station for quick access to Florence, one heads to Pontassieve which is 20 minutes by car.
