An organic vineyard with history and charisma. Located in the district of Viseu, municipality of São João da Pesqueira, parishes of Ervedosa do Douro and Castanheiro do Sul. The property has 58.2 ha divided into: 43 ha of Letra A organic vines, 7 ha of olive groves, 7.5 ha of hills and 0.7 ha of vines in the winery area. Biological production enhances the true taste of the wine. No harmful herbicides are used on this property, using traditional methods to preserve the vines. Biological Port wine is a unique niche market and there is an excellent opportunity to expand the business. The estate extends over several slopes with excellent sun exposure, with 7 hectares of drip irrigation, with two water tanks coming from 1 borehole and 3 additional water boreholes. The River Torto runs through the property and there is the possibility of creating a private river beach. There is a bridge between the plots of land that allows you to move between slopes. It contains a cluster of ruined houses with great potential for developing rural tourism. The winery is located in Casais do Douro, in the municipality of São João da Pesqueira. The building has 600m2, more than 35 vats (4 with cold systems), stock of organic and traditional wine, red and white, Port and DOC and Aguardente Bio.
It has labeling machines, tractors and vans, 6000L barrels, fermentation equipment, a press, a bottling machine, a corking machine, labeling, capping, a forklift, an office, a quality testing laboratory and a reception area for tastings and receiving clients. The warehouse has three stone presses and ample storage space for maturing wine
products. All the structural and technical equipment present is included, as is the existing retail network. 95% of Port wine production is exported to international clients, namely in Europe, Japan and the United Kingdom. The average annual sale ranges from 250 000€ to 300 000€. In 2023, 100 barrels of benefício Letra A (55,000 L) were produced. Benefício is the technical term for what we call Port Wine. A total of 18 different grape varieties are grown, 75% of the total production being Touriga Franca. This is a family-run, non-industrial business, which makes the products more authentic, given their superior quality
