Exceptional and original work by Andrea Palladio, offered for sale for the first time in the last one hundred years.

Very rarely does it happen that a milestone of architectural history is put up for sale and the Villa Valmarana Bressan, an early work by Andrea Palladio and built between 1542 and 1560 for Giuseppe and Antonio Valmarana in a hamlet a few kilometres North of Vicenza, already contains all the elements that will lead the architect from Vicenza to be recognized as the universal genius of Architecture.

The original project, preserved in London at the Royal Institute of British Architects, shows the typical arrangement of the rooms by Palladio, linked by precise proportional relationships, as well as the formal suggestions deriving from the great ancient thermal structures, known by Palladio on his trip to Rome in 1541, all well evident in the loggia of the villa, in the vaulted structures of the rooms and in the serlian used as a filter towards the external environment.

Smaller in size than most of his subsequent works, Villa Valmarana Bressan is a decisive stage in the formation of Palladio and its availability on the market for sale today truly is a unique opportunity to own a jewel counted among the classics of world architecture and recognized since 1996, together with the other works of Andrea Palladio, as a Unesco World Heritage Site.
