Caimari is a small stone village in the municipality of Selva, set in the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana in the interior of Mallorca. The village sits at the edge of the mountain range, with terraced olive groves and almond orchards defining the landscape around it. It is best known as the gateway to the Lluc monastery road and as a producer of some of Mallorca’s finest olive oil. The Serra de Tramuntana carries UNESCO World Heritage status as a cultural landscape.

Daily essentials are covered in Selva, a five-minute drive away. Inca, the main commercial town of the interior, is roughly ten minutes by car and offers a weekly Thursday market, supermarkets, and the well-regarded Celler Can Amer restaurant. The village of Caimari itself has a small bar and the cooperative Oli de Caimari, known for its locally pressed extra virgin olive oil.

Palma is approximately 35 kilometres from Caimari, reachable in around 35 to 40 minutes by car via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma de Mallorca Airport is roughly the same distance, with a journey time of around 40 minutes. There is no direct rail connection from Caimari, but Inca has a train station with regular services to Palma taking approximately 40 minutes. The port of Alcudia, serving ferry routes to the mainland, is around 25 kilometres to the northeast.
