Ten floors above Amapas, Residence 1001 is a 240 m2 — 2,584 square foot — two-bedroom-plus-flex home in the South Tower at Mayamar, with three full bathrooms, a wide private terrace and the Pacific in front of it. Amapas is the hill immediately above the Romantic Zone, which is the reason people choose it and the reason it holds value. Five minutes on foot down to the sand and to Los Muertos Pier. Ten minutes to the restaurants, galleries and Saturday markets of Old Town. Twenty minutes by car to Puerto Vallarta International Airport, with direct service to more than thirty cities in the United States and Canada. Jungle behind you, bay in front of you, and no car required for anything except leaving. The hillside is close to built out, and there is no more land in Amapas to make more of, which is the structural reason values here have behaved the way they have.
