Chullera is a quiet coastal enclave within the municipality of Manilva, positioned on the western edge of the Costa del Sol where the coastline begins its approach toward the Strait of Gibraltar. The area sits between Estepona to the northeast and Sotogrande to the southwest, occupying a stretch of Mediterranean shoreline that remains noticeably less developed than its better-known neighbours. The landscape is defined by open sea views, low-density residential development, and a sense of distance from the congestion that characterises much of the coast.

Estepona, approximately 15 kilometres northeast, offers the nearest concentration of restaurants, markets, and services, including the Mercado de Abastos and a well-maintained old town. Sotogrande is roughly 10 kilometres southwest, with its marina, golf courses, and polo facilities at Santa Maria Polo Club. Marbella is around 40 kilometres away by the A-7 coastal road.

Malaga Airport is approximately 85 kilometres northeast via the AP-7 motorway, with a drive of around one hour under normal conditions. Gibraltar Airport is closer, at roughly 25 kilometres, offering connections to the UK and select European destinations. Jerez de la Frontera Airport is around 90 kilometres to the west. The AP-7 and A-7 provide direct road access along the coast in both directions, connecting Chullera efficiently to Marbella, Algeciras, and the wider Andalusian road network.
