Charming castle located in a setting of great beauty and uniqueness in the prestigious Chianti Classico territory in Siena. Positioned at an elevated point, it offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills.

Constructed in white stone around the year 1000, it became the property of the Ricasoli Barons from 1100. They exploited its strategic position as a fortress during the conflict between the Guelphs and Ghibellines. Today, the village is one of the best-preserved examples of a fortified medieval village, mostly inhabited by locals who, with great respect and affection, maintain the village in excellent condition.

The property extends from the borders of the village to the surrounding woods and olive groves. It includes the main castle building, which covers an area of 900 m² and includes a tower from which you can admire the surrounding territory, a deconsecrated church of about 250 m² used as an art studio, an 80 m² annex, a 190 m² cellar, a swimming pool with panoramic view measuring 16x8 meters, and a 60 m² garage. The land extends over three hectares that include olive groves and agricultural land, with two private accesses: one pedestrian from the village and one from the castle’s private garden with a wrought iron electric gate.

The main building is spread over four levels. From the main entrance, accessible from the village, you enter the main hall, connected to an ancient staircase leading to the upper floors and the tower. On the first floor, there’s a large kitchen with direct access to the garden and a stone solarium. Additionally, there is a small independent apartment with a kitchen-living room with fireplace, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The second floor houses three rooms, two of which with fireplaces, a library with a fireplace, and a large room with an en-suite bathroom.

On the third floor, there are three more bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. Finally, on the fourth floor, in the tower, the master bedroom is located with access to a panoramic terrace offering a spectacular 360-degree view of Chianti.

Outside, the garden extends for about 300 m², leading to the panoramic pool, set among rocks and travertine. The annex, renovated in the 1990s, is situated between the castle and the pool, and is arranged over two levels with two spacious rooms equipped with a fireplace and a bathroom each.
