This palace tells the story of the city and its continuous urban evolution through six centuries of history. The first records date back to the 15th century, when the palace was owned by the Granacci family, one of the merchant families that first contributed to the economic development of Florence.
In the 19th century, banker Michele Giuntini commissioned Florentine master craftsmen to create a cycle of frescoes that are still preserved in their original dimensions today. These frescoes—Baroque and 19th-century, floral and mythological, decorative and narrative—are some of the rare examples of domestic iconographic heritage that remained intact throughout the 20th century.
From 1857 to 1979, the palace belonged to the Vivarelli Colonna family, from whom it takes its contemporary name, consolidating its status as a living monument to the Florentine aristocracy.
Today, the residential dimension of the aristocratic homes of past centuries is revived and updated through a residential project that creates eight units of the highest quality, with large floor plans and representative rooms.
