J Craft Torpedo 2

Custom built yachts from J Craft are an all-time classic, and Torpedo is not an exception: Smeralda, built in 2010 (she underwent a refit in 2018, and is now available for purchase), will not go out of style for many years to come. There are many reasons why you should buy this boat.

  1. She is perfect both as a luxury day boat and a megayacht tender.
The J Craft Torpedo holds her own both in a megayacht’s stable and the marines of Côte d’Azur, and she is perfect as a weekend boat. To quote J Craft Boats CEO Johan Attvik, this is “the perfect boat for the most demanding clients.” With her overall length of about 41.11 ft / 12.78 m (the hull is fibreglass), she is perfect both as a luxury day boat and a mega yacht tender.J craft torpedo6
  2. Her stylish interior has earned her the nickname of ‘Bentley on water’
Customers who appreciate exclusive design will love the mahogany deck that’s been lacquered and varnished eighteen times and a retro-style dashboard, luxurious leather seats and cutlery designed by Prince Carl Philip of Sweden.J Craft Torpedo1
  3. She is probably the world’s finest in the up to 40 ft class
The latest engineering techniques and an array of technological features were used when building Torpedo, making her a reliable and highly seaworthy vessel.
She boasts two guest cabins plus a sleeping area for one captain. The main deck is fitted out for easy entertainment: in addition to comfortable sofas and fold away tables, it features onboard CD and DVD players, a refrigerator, sink and an induction hob. The cockpit area is shaded with the Bimini and there is an option to extend this to the aft, also covering the sunpads. For bad weather, a full cabrio cover can be specified.J craft torpedo 5
  4. She is incredibly stable with easy acceleration
Smeralda is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 500 engines that can easily accelerate the boat to 40 knots, the propellers can move through 360 degrees, making cornering easy and comfortable. At low speed, when maneuvering in harbour, the yacht is controlled by the IPS joystick but the builders’ particular joy is the genuine Nardi steering wheel identical to the one fitted to Ferrari 250 GTO. She has a range of 350 nautical miles.
