This property is a true haven, where time seems to have stood still. Dating from the 16th century, this historic building preserves intact the soul and design of its original construction. Its architecture perfectly reflects the sobriety and elegance typical of religious orders, harmoniously combined with the characteristic materials of the region.

Inside the convent, the long and imposing corridors and halls are crowned by magnificent barrel vaults, which guarantee not only extraordinary visual spaciousness but also excellent acoustics. The walls, covered with traditional 18th-century Portuguese tile panels, represent invaluable testimonies of decorative art. The cloister, located in the heart of the building, is flanked by arcaded corridors, enriched by stucco details and scattered altars, also highlighting the presence of a historic cistern. The entire building showcases the use of fine materials, from the original rustic terracotta tile flooring and majestic solid wood doors to the stonework sculpted from the region’s world-famous marble. Additionally, the large windows and the layout around the internal courtyards allow natural light to flood all the spaces.

Regarding its size, the current built area is 3,028 m², spread over two floors around the stunning central cloister. The property also includes a vast plot of land of approximately 24,446 m². Surrounded by typical Alentejo landscapes, the exterior areas include picturesque orange groves, olive groves, and vineyards.
