Vallauris sits on the hills above the Côte d’Azur between Cannes and Antibes, a town shaped as much by its centuries-old ceramics tradition as by its association with Pablo Picasso, who worked here in the late 1940s and left the Château de Vallauris with a monumental painted chapel now preserved as a national museum.
