This is a truly unique property. The bells of the Church of Graça echo through the sculptural design of this apartment, which opens its arms to Lisbon, leaving us breathless.

Contemporary design takes root in one of Lisbon’s oldest streets. The street which hugs the walls of São Jorge Castle and flirts with the Church of Graça.
The building has risen from its former decline. And it was the very structure of the building itself, honest and geometric, that defined the spaces created, materialised in just three flats. Each with its own separate entrance, as if they were houses, yet linked within that incredible structure.

The genesis of this project stemmed from forward-thinking owners with a keen eye and a love of art, based here on the Costa do Castelo. The sculptural aspect was emphasised, moving away from standardised designs. The Brutalist style brought in materials in their raw state. It introduced a striking, raw texture: concrete, pine, Carrara marble, terrazzo and iron. But the building’s pre-existing traditional sources of light and sunlight were reimagined, now through skylights and strategic, geometric openings. There were sources of inspiration for this project, such as the Maison de Verre designed by Pierre Chareau, and the glass bricks once found in industrial buildings, which here ensure privacy.

And you simply cannot take your eyes off the city. The enormous glass doors with iron frames lead us out onto the balcony. As if in a box seat, we continuously witness the interplay of light and colour on the buildings and rooftops of old Lisbon, contrasting with the apartment’s neutral palette. At night, the Church of Graça stands out in this setting. And whether by coincidence or not, right next to the building, one of Lisbon’s most iconic theatres (Teatro Taborda) brings a relaxed artistic atmosphere to the surroundings.

The street is exclusively for residents’ use and is therefore quiet.
We look forward to your visit.
