Quinta da Guarita is a 17th century property with great historical relevance.
Considered one of the most important properties in central Portugal.
Solar da Quinta da Guarita, appears documented at various times in the history of Portugal.
An illustrious family lived there and great personalities from the history of the country and the world passed through there.
During the Peninsular War or French invasions, General Wellesley, later 1st Duke of Wellington, stayed overnight at the Manor House before the Battle of Buçaco.

This fantastic property is located close to Santa Comba Dão, in the district of Viseu.

The land at Quinta da Guarita is very fertile and has plenty of water in the basement, proof of this are the wells and mines dispersed throughout the property.
One of the property’s wells was made with large granite stones and has winding stairs along its interior.
In addition to some fruit and olive trees, next to the Manor there is a majestic poplar and tilapia, several camellias and a boxwood tree.
There is also a forest of oaks and cork trees in growth and a small eucalyptus.

Located in the district of Viseu and municipality of Santa Comba Dão, Quinta da Guarita has an open and magnificent view over the Serra da Estrela.
It is 3 km from the A35 and also from IP3, the main access roads in the region.
This area of the country has many places of historical, natural and gastronomic interest, an example of which is the Mata Nacional do Buçaco, Dão’s eco-trail built on the old railway line with 48km in length between Santa Comba Dão and Viseu.
It is 30km from Luso, Serra do Buçaco and Serra do Caramulo.
