We in Italy call ”Radical Chic” a certain bourgeoisie that pretends to flee ostentations and appearances, but in reality is decidedly much more conformist than the traditional bourgeoisie. It’s the exact opposite here! There is a dry style, which avoids waste of resources, rewards the rationality of spaces and consumption, building a ”comfort of reason” and fair economy.

Summary description of the Interiors

Farmhouse

- first floor: 22 sqm portico and two apartments with independent access but which can be transformed into a single large apartment if desired by opening a door that has been temporarily closed (rubber foam layer and an MDF slab for soundproofing). The two apartments share the heating system.

Smaller apartment with living room and kitchenette, hallway, bathroom and double bedroom.

Larger apartment with a living area, all open, which includes an entrance hall with a fireplace heater, study and living room with kitchenette, then a double bedroom, pantry, bathroom and an internal staircase leading to the lower floor.

- basement: apartment with living room and kitchenette, bathroom and anti-bathroom, fireplace room and bedroom. The room and bedroom are located in a single large room with a curtain.

The basement is completed by two additional connecting rooms used as a warehouse and workshop (from which you can obtain another apartment or expand the adjacent one if you wish), a cellar and a large cavity with a staircase leading to the upper floor.

Annex

The annex is divided in two, on one side a bathroom and a room created to have a sauna, on the other the technical room with the swimming pool system, 2000 l distribution tank, softener and UV disinfection, pump and autoclave. A 5000 l storage tank is located at the spring which supplies 3000 l of water per day.

Renovation

Renovation work was carried out between 2004 and 2010, involving structural works between the roof and the masonry with earthquake-resistant characteristics and excellent quality finishes, the details of which are contained in a document available to interested parties. In 2014 and 2019, the photovoltaic systems described below were built.
