This really is a one-off, a lovingly conceived and well looked after teak-built villa on an elevated former coconut plantation that looks down towards one of the prettiest beaches on Sri Lanka’s South Coast.

The house is simply but elegantly conceived with two large bedrooms (both with ensuite bathrooms) either side of a sitting and dining area that opens to a verandah overlooking the gardens and pool. The kitchen (a more recent addition to the original building) is at the back of the house, reached through a covered walkway.
