Catujal (formerly Catejal, Catijal and Catojal) is a village in the parish of Unhos, in Loures, which encompasses roughly the southern half of the parish. It borders Sacavém, Camarate, Unhos, Apelação and the Trancão River. It was renowned in the mid-19th century for the quality of its medicinal waters. In 1996, the CDS-PP and the PSD proposed the creation of a parish with its headquarters in the village, by separating it from Unhos, but both initiatives lapsed with the end of the legislature and were not followed up.

Ecclesiastically, it was erected as a quasi-parish, with Saint Joseph of Nazareth as its patron saint, by the Cardinal-Patriarch of Lisbon, D. José Policarpo, on March 19, 2008, followed by the inauguration of the respective church, on May 1, 2010, by the same Cardinal, intended to replace the small and ancient Chapel of Our Lady of Nazareth.
