Set on a quiet hillside just above Vasiliki, Cuore is a contemporary stone-built residence that looks westward across the Ionian Sea, where the coastline softens into distant islands and the evening light settles slowly across the water. Although only minutes from the harbour and the beach at Agiofili, the property feels notably private, surrounded by olive trees, low Mediterranean vegetation, and the natural contours of the Lefkadian landscape.

The architecture combines traditional island materials with a restrained contemporary approach. Locally sourced stone walls anchor the villa into the hillside, while wide glass openings and pale natural surfaces allow the interiors to remain bright, open, and closely connected to the sea beyond. Timber pergolas filter the strong summer sun and create a softer rhythm across the terraces throughout the day.

Extending across approximately 280 sqm (3,014 sqft) on a 4,650 sqm (50,052 sqft) plot, the villa is designed as a series of interconnected indoor and outdoor living spaces. The principal living area unfolds as an open-plan environment where kitchen, dining, and lounge areas all orient toward the view. Large sliding glass panels retract almost entirely, allowing the terraces and pool deck to function as a direct continuation of the interior. Warm oak tones, textured stone, linen fabrics, and handcrafted lighting introduce a quieter, tactile atmosphere that feels relaxed rather than formal.

Every room opens toward the sea through full-height glazing, while soft neutral finishes and natural materials maintain continuity throughout the house. The bathrooms continue the same understated palette, combining pale stone, brushed brass fittings, and filtered natural light.

Outside, the terraces widen toward a long infinity pool that appears visually suspended above the coastline. The pool terrace is intentionally open and uncluttered, allowing uninterrupted views across the Ionian and toward the mountainous outline of neighbouring islands. A shaded outdoor dining area and built-in stone barbecue create a natural gathering point beside the main living spaces, while quieter seating areas are distributed along the terraces to follow the movement of sun and shade during the day.

The position above Vasiliki also benefits from the area’s natural airflow, allowing the house to remain open to the sea breeze through much of the season. From the villa, both the harbour village and Agiofili Beach remain within easy reach, while the wider coastline of southern Lefkada unfolds gradually through a series of coves, cliffs, and small waterfront tavernas.
