Hammerfest Airport (HFT) is connected to the national flight network.
• From Oslo: Flights are available via Tromsø with Widerøe or Norwegian/SAS (to Tromsø), followed by a direct Widerøe flight to Hammerfest.
• From other cities in Northern Norway: Widerøe offers multiple daily flights from Alta to Hammerfest.

KITCHEN & STAFF AREA
The kitchen has been completely renovated, featuring electrically heated flooring with newly laid anti-slip tiles, new professional-grade waterproof wall paneling, all-new internal electrical wiring, and brand-new windows. The kitchen is also equipped with a separate water heater and a unique A/C unit that doubles as a heat pump during winter. New side entrance door. New professional-grade kitchen equipment includes an Italian pizza oven, a bake-off oven, two proofing cabinets, fridges with prep benches, stoves, a glass dishwasher, a pizza prep counter with refrigerated drawers, an ice machine, and more.

In the back storage area, the walk-in refrigerator has been renovated with new professional-grade waterproof walls and a new door. Additional refrigeration includes three upright fridges, two upright freezers, and two standard freezers, ensuring easy access to fresh and frozen produce. A new storage fridge for beverages, and a dedicated wine cabinet have also been installed.
The staff area has been upgraded with a comfortable sitting area, a new wardrobe with a shower, and a private staff restroom. The walk-in dry storage area is equipped with shelving for food essentials.

SUITES
The six exclusive suites have been thoughtfully upgraded with wood laminate flooring, heated floors throughout, and new arctic-grade insulated windows. The bathrooms have been completely renovated with premium tiles, modern lavatories, stylish washbasins with integrated furnishings, and updated lighting and electrical outlets. DINING AREA
The dining area itself has been upgraded with new floor tiles throughout, installed over an electrically heated floor. The reception bar is a custom-built bar within the dining area, equipped with a beer tap tower, shelving, a freezer for chilled glasses, and a back-bar fridge. In 2021, the lodge’s original fire warning and central alarm system were completely upgraded with state-of-the-art equipment. New smoke detectors have been installed in all suites, the kitchen, dining area, conference room, and common areas. A digital central control unit, positioned at the main entrance, provides easy access and monitoring for first responders. The Hammerfest Fire Department has thoroughly inspected the upgrades and given its full approval, confirming that all signs and fire extinguishers have been replaced with new, compliant equipment.

The lodge also features a central ventilation system with integrated heating elements. All floors in the dining area, kitchen, wardrobe, and restrooms are heated, supplemented by additional panel heaters in most areas. Two heat pumps provide extra climate control. All suites, including en-suite bathrooms, feature heated flooring, and suites are also equipped with panel heaters for added comfort.

The main dining area includes a fireplace on the ground floor, complemented by an additional fireplace in the mezzanine-level lounge, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
