Classic Sri Lankan Beachfront Villa On A Quiet Golden Beach

This classical beach villa is designed in Dutch colonial style - large columns framing the pool and view to the ocean beyond. It sits on a a really gorgeous, golden and quiet beach a short drive from the hub of Galle Fort.

The ground floor is a large open plan space, running from a kitchen with big breakfast bar to a dining space that flows from inside to out. Large cement ‘benches’, very amply cushioned, make a very comfortable and cosy sitting area.

The dining area opens to the pool which overlooks the garden and the beach - views always drawn out to the ocean.

Two ensuite bedrooms are on the first floor. Both have large bathrooms and open onto a wide verandah, making the most of the ocean view.

Habaraduwa sits about 20 minutes drive east of Galle on a stretch ever popular with tourists, even as things develop further down the coast. The big golden beach though remains relatively quiet - most development in this area as boutique hotels or private villas.

The highway is easily accessibly from the Galle junction and so journey times to Colombo and the International Airport are a little under two hours.
