Quinta Do Moinho Complex In Guarda

Quinta do Moinho is a tourist complex, which started its activity in the summer of 2008, with the nature tourism aspect, being a privileged space for the embrace of the Mondego River on its banks.

This space preserves the rustic architecture inserted in a natural landscape environment, taking advantage of the beauty of the vegetation and the centenary trees by the river.
The sounds that can be heard here are the sounds of nature, with the happy chirping of the many birds and the current of the river.

The Mondego River, in this area, is perfectly accessible, either by swimming, boat, pedalo or waterbed. Its water is crystal clear.

The property is bathed on two of its banks, where there are two dams that are, in fact, the ex-libris of the surroundings, considered completely natural pools that nature helped to trace over time.
It is a fantastic area to relax, where you can only hear the water current and the chirping of the birds, with the most varied species. It is a place adapted for those who like to explore the rivers and go up or down their banks.

It consists of six retreat houses, plus the main house where the owner lives.

- Main House
This house comprises a reception/breakfast room, an office with bathroom, kitchen, pantry, dining room, children’s room. On the first floor, there is a suite with bedroom, bathroom and closet. It also has a balcony facing east and a terrace with two pantries to the west.

- Retiro do Rio House
Casa Retiro do Rio is a 1 bedroom apartment, located on the 1st floor, with a kitchen, private bathroom and a shared bathroom. It is also complemented by the beauty of its magnificent balcony overlooking the river and the Mondego Valley.
With a cozy atmosphere, having breakfast in the first rays of the sun on this balcony transmits peace and tranquility for the whole day.

- Casa Retiro do Miller
Apartment type T2, located on the ground floor, with kitchen, living room, two private bathrooms and one common.
The rooms are one double and one double.
The double bedroom has access to a private outdoor terrace. From the kitchen you get a fantastic view over the river.

- Paradise Retreat House
Apartment located on the ground floor, with kitchenette, double bed,
two single beds, which when closed are used as a sofa, a bathroom and a toilet. The double bedroom is separated from the living room by a large screen.

- Mondego Suite
This is an area located on the ground floor, comprising a bedroom on the lower floor and a bathroom on the upper floor.
This room can be complemented with a bedroom/living room with fireplace and a new bedroom on the upper floor.
There’s no kitchen. For meals, the living area can be used, where there is a stove, microwave, among others.

- Sun’s house
Studio apartment, located on the ground floor, with kitchenette, king-size double bed, a bathroom. Adapted for accessibility. Outdoor patio. Possibility of parking next to the entrance.

- Pavilion
There is a pavilion with 500m2, for events, with kitchen, bathrooms and bar area.

- Mill
It also has a mill, in which a millstone was recovered.

- Pool
It has a swimming pool with very good sun exposure.

- Gymnasium
Gym equipped with some sports machines.
