About the Property

In the hilly area of Empoli, climbing from Brusciana, above Via Monteboro, lies a beautiful villa with 17th-century paintings. The building belonged to the Corsali family since the 15th century. In the hilly area of Empoli, climbing from Brusciana, above Via Monteboro, lies a beautiful villa with 17th-century paintings. The building belonged to the Corsali family since the 15th century. In 1605, the last member of the family died without heirs, and the villa passed to the Bardelli cousins, who transformed the villa into its current state in the second half of the 17th century. A chapel dedicated to Saint Nicholas, named after its founder, Nicolò Bardelli, was built in one of the side wings. After several successions, the villa passed to the current owners, Grazzi and Bartolini Salimbeni, in 1896, who decided to sell their portion of the property, covering a surface area of approximately 700 square meters. The villa retains its late 17th-century appearance, dating back to the Bardelli family’s restorations. The western façade features a certain monumentality, enhanced by the portal framed by massive ashlar, the symmetrical arrangement of stone-framed windows, and the large terrace offering splendid views of the Val d’Elsa. The interior features the typical appearance of a country villa, with service areas, living rooms, and rooms with decorated wooden ceilings and painted walls. Although in need of renovation, it is a charming property, complete with a courtyard, garden, and 1.7 hectares of agricultural land.
