“The seagull in the sleeping air and in the slow, drowsy flight, drifts away and disappears into the sun’s mist.” Antonio Machado. One of people’s dreams is to fly. How many times have we imagined spreading our wings, fixing our gaze on the horizon, and leaping toward the infinite blue of the sea? Welcome to the LARIDAE EUGLENIA house. Located in Les Botigues de Sitges in Castelldefels, it rises from above, light and dreamy, with 368 m² built. We take off from the garden. It spans 800 m² divided into different zones. The entrance leads to a garage for 2 to 4 cars. From the garage, we take the elevator that connects to the main door. The sound of the wind roars over river stones resting on a gres tile carpet that blends with the sea inside our pool. From here, we can glimpse the house’s facade. Simple, exposed brick and glass. It faces south boldly, as if its dream were to fly. Let’s go inside. After crossing the foyer, the infinite living room appears before us, connecting our sofa with the wind and the sea. We continue to the kitchen with a laundry area and its own dining space. The floor is completed with a double bedroom and a bathroom. We go up to the bedrooms. –“What color are the people in our home?” – asked the seagull to the sailor as it glided. –“Are they white like foam, blue like the sky, or red like coral?” – to which the sailor replied, “The colors of those I love most are infinite like the drops of the sea.” This is how we describe the four bedrooms on this floor: all large, all unique, all facing the sea waves from their terraces of over 80 m². We go up to the top floor. Here, a future 60 m² master suite would lead the horizon from the terrace like a watchtower. We can see seagulls flying like enchanted birds fulfilling their daily dream of opening their wings, fixing their gaze on the horizon, and leaping toward the infinite blue of the sea.
