Cabriès is a hilltop village in the Bouches-du-Rhône, positioned between Aix-en-Provence and Marseille on a ridge that has been inhabited since antiquity. The village retains its medieval core, with a château that once belonged to the painter Nicolas de Staël, stone lanes, and views across the Étang de Berre and the Chaîne de l’Étoile. It occupies a rare position: genuinely rural in character, yet within practical reach of two major cities.

The village centre has a weekly market and a handful of local restaurants. Aix-en-Provence, roughly 15 kilometres to the east, provides the full range of dining, cultural institutions, and specialist retail, including the Cours Mirabeau and the covered market at Place Richelme. Vitrolles and its commercial zone are a short drive for everyday needs.

Aix-en-Provence is approximately 20 minutes by car, with its TGV station at Aix-en-Provence TGV connecting to Paris Gare de Lyon in under three hours. Marseille-Provence Airport at Marignane is roughly 15 kilometres from Cabriès, reachable in under 20 minutes by car, offering direct flights to major European hubs and beyond. The A51 and A7 motorways provide straightforward access to both Aix and Marseille.
