Historical, Refurbished Country Estate With Sea Views Near Arta

Artà is one of the most architecturally and historically coherent towns in Mallorca, set in the northeast of the island against the backdrop of the Llevant mountain range. The old town rises around the hilltop Sanctuary of Sant Salvador and the fortified parish church of Transfiguració del Senyor, whose ramparts define the skyline for miles around. The surrounding municipality encompasses some of the least developed countryside on the island, with the Parc Natural de la Península de Llevant protecting a significant stretch of coastline and interior terrain.

Daily life in Artà centres on the Tuesday market and the compact old town, where Café Parisien on Carrer Ciutat is a long-established local institution. The beaches of Colònia de Sant Pere and Son Serra de Marina are roughly ten to fifteen minutes by car. Cala Torta and Cala Mesquida, both largely undeveloped, are within twenty minutes.

Artà sits approximately 75 kilometres from Palma de Mallorca, a drive of around one hour via the Ma-15. Palma’s Son Sant Joan Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities and several intercontinental routes, with journey times from the airport to Artà typically between 55 and 70 minutes depending on traffic. There is no rail connection to Artà; the nearest train terminus is Manacor, roughly 25 kilometres to the southwest.
