The Origins
It has come back to life after years of abandonment, following a lightning strike from the current owners due to its magical location and characteristic Tuscan rusticity. A life project that began with the renovation of the house and the adjacent agricultural annex, then moving on to caring for the land with the planting of 1,000 olive trees, culminating in the construction of two agricultural annexes that have completed a small village in the countryside of the Val di Cornia. Every detail has been refined in the spirit of the local tradition but also of love for the environment and beauty. Nothing has been left to chance but is rather the result of an Ideal that they have chosen, desired, and realized. The view, and with it the mind, can range from the sea to the hills, from the fields of wheat to the woods, from the islands of the archipelago to Mount Amiata. Lights and colors blend into a silence interrupted only by the music of cicadas or birds. Location
Between Suvereto and Campiglia Marittima, the estate is located in a hilly position in the typical Tuscan countryside. Halfway between these two characteristic Medieval Villages of the Etruscan Coast, it enjoys a panoramic view that extends, facing the sea, from Argentario to the island of Elba. Looking towards the hills, the view ranges from Monterotondo to Massa Marittima, while at its feet lies the plain of the Val di Cornia, from Riotorto to Venturina. Just a quarter of an hour from the sea, from the beaches of San Vincenzo and the Gulf of Baratti, and half an hour from Bolgheri and its renowned Sassicaia, it is located in one of the most accredited municipalities for wine production. Here, architect Mario Botta found a way to express his creativity with the Petra winery, visible from La Sassaia, and the Tua Rita winery has designed and created the award-winning Redigaffi.
The Estate
Today an Agricultural Company, it has 20 hectares of land among olive trees, woods, and Mediterranean scrub. The 1,000 olive trees are of the most well-known and renowned varieties of Tuscany: Leccino, Moraiolo, and Frantoio, along with other lesser-known varieties such as Cuoricino, Morcone, or Lazzero di Prata, local varieties that are no longer cultivated but which the property wanted to plant to safeguard their history and memory. Complementing the agricultural activity, the agriturismo consists of five accommodations: four two-room apartments and one studio apartment that host Italian, German, Austrian, and Swiss tourists every year, in search of peace and relaxation. No wild cementation but corners of nature where one can sit, contemplate, read, and of course savor a moka coffee or taste a glass of wine.
Characteristics of the main house
• The central body of the property opens onto a living room with a fireplace and a dining room capable of accommodating guests and friends. The rustic tiles that serve as flooring convey warmth and familiarity. The spacious kitchen, also with a fireplace, reveals characteristics of someone who loves to spend time in the kitchen. The ceilings with chestnut beams and tiles recall the essence of Tuscany. Completing the ground floor are a pantry, a laundry room, and a service bathroom.
On the first floor in the sleeping area, there are 3 bedrooms (two of which are double), 2 large bathrooms (one with a bathtub and shower).
All for about 200 sqm.
Completing the estate:
• A large agricultural annex plastered of about 200 sqm, with an office area, oil storage, and bathroom
• 2 stone agricultural annexes, one of 45 sqm and one of 90 sqm, used for agriturismo (3 two-room apartments) for a total of about 135 sqm
• 1 studio apartment (about 35 sqm) and 1 two-room apartment (about 50 sqm) in the main structure
• Photovoltaic panels that make the estate independent from the
