A former winegrower’s house in the Gaillac region, restored to create a cosy yet elegant atmosphere. Located just a few minutes from Gaillac, it overlooks an idyllic landscape of woods and vineyards, with the Gaillac valleys stretching out beyond. Its 3.3 hectares ensure complete tranquillity. The approach to this property is already a delight that we’d love to share with you. The country road leading there passes through a pretty hamlet, vineyards and woodland. And then, nestled in a superb setting, the property comes into view. Particularly light-filled, it is also exceptionally well laid out with no wasted space; the layout of the house is, shall we say, truly clever. We were captivated by the quality evident in every detail: notably the French windows with bevelled glass, two original rose windows, a luxury kitchen (28m²), a mix of old and newer locally made terracotta tiles, two living rooms (17 and 28m²), a study (10m²) opening onto a glass-roofed conservatory, a truly delightful dining room with a period fireplace, and exquisite bedrooms. Upstairs, four bedrooms, each more charming than the last, and three shower rooms. Two of them have access to the covered terrace. This is the perfect spot for unforgettable breakfasts. The two bedrooms converted from what was once the barn benefit from high ceilings enhanced by beautifully stained beams. Outside, there is a semi-covered south-facing terrace, accessible notably from the kitchen, another magnificent terrace on the west side, the garage, and the conservatory. The terrace and its wooden decking further down the grounds face an incredible panorama. Let’s not forget the gardens and, further down, the meadow of wildflowers; to the left, an oak woodland, and to the right, vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see. Superb!
