Théoule-sur-Mer occupies a privileged position on the Esterel Massif coastline, roughly 30 kilometres southwest of Cannes, where the deep red porphyry cliffs of the Esterel meet the Mediterranean. The commune is one of the smallest and most protected stretches of the Côte d’Azur, with the Esterel Massif classified as a protected natural area that limits development and preserves the dramatic coastal landscape. The result is a density and character markedly different from the built-up resorts to the east.

Day-to-day life centres on the small port and the handful of restaurants along the waterfront, including Le Bistrot de la Plage. The market in Miramar runs weekly. Cannes, with its full range of dining, retail, and cultural infrastructure, is approximately 25 minutes by car or reachable by the coastal TER train from Théoule-sur-Mer station.

Théoule-sur-Mer has its own SNCF station on the Marseille to Ventimiglia line, placing Cannes at around 20 minutes and Nice at approximately one hour by regional train. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is roughly 45 minutes by car via the A8 motorway, providing direct connections to major European and international destinations. Cannes-Mandelieu Airport, serving private aviation, is approximately 20 minutes by road.
