Travel to Geilo is easy and scenic. The Bergen Railway takes around three hours from Bergen and three and a half from Oslo, with up to five departures daily. During the ski season, the Kikut bus connects the station to the upper mountain areas, including Solhovda. By car, National Road 7 offers the shortest route from both Oslo and Bergen and is one of Norway’s official national tourist routes, while County Road 40 provides access from the south.
