Seillans is a medieval hilltop village in the Var department of Provence, consistently ranked among the most beautiful villages in France and a member of the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France association. Its stone lanes, Romanesque church, and layered terraces of ochre and honey-coloured facades rise above the wooded plain of the Fayence basin. The village has long attracted artists and intellectuals, most notably the Surrealist painter Max Ernst, who spent his final years here.
Daily life centres on the village square, Place du Thouron, with its café terraces and weekly market. The nearby town of Fayence, five minutes by car, provides supermarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants. The Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort, one of the leading golf destinations in southern France, is under fifteen minutes away.
The Fayence-Tourrettes aerodrome serves private aviation and is within ten minutes of the village. Cannes is approximately 40 kilometres to the southeast, reachable in around 45 minutes by car. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport, the primary international hub for the region, is roughly 70 kilometres away and accessible in approximately one hour, offering direct connections to major European and international destinations.
