Èze occupies one of the most commanding positions on the French Riviera, a medieval perched village rising to 427 metres above the Mediterranean between Nice and Monaco. The village itself, classified among the most beautiful in France, is defined by its stone ramparts, narrow cobbled lanes, and the ruins of a 14th-century castle that frame unobstructed views across the Ligurian Sea toward the Italian coast. The surrounding commune extends from the coastal Basse Corniche to the Grande Corniche, offering a range of elevations and exposures.

The village centre holds the Jardin Exotique, the Fragonard perfume distillery, and several respected restaurants including Château Eza and La Chèvre d’Or, the latter holding two Michelin stars. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is approximately 20 kilometres from Èze, reachable in 25 to 35 minutes by car via the A8 autoroute, with direct flights to most major European cities and long-haul connections. The train station at Èze-sur-Mer, on the coastal line, connects to Monaco in under 10 minutes and to Nice in around 20 minutes. The A8 provides direct motorway access toward Cannes, Antibes, and the Italian border.
