Ibiza Town, known locally as Eivissa, is the island’s capital and its most historically layered address. The fortified old town, Dalt Vila, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, its medieval walls rising above the harbour and visible from much of the southern coast. The city carries a dual identity: a working Balearic capital with genuine civic life, and one of the Mediterranean’s most internationally recognised destinations for design, gastronomy, and culture.

Daily life in Ibiza Town centres on the Marina district, the covered Mercat Vell, and restaurants such as Sa Caleta, Locals Only, and La Paloma. The weekly hippy market at Las Dalias is a short drive north. The old town’s cathedral square and harbour promenade are within walking distance of most central addresses.

Ibiza Airport sits approximately seven kilometres from the city centre, a drive of around ten to fifteen minutes. The airport operates year-round scheduled services to Madrid, Barcelona, London, and other major European cities, with significantly expanded routes from April through October. Inter-island ferries connect Ibiza Town to Formentera in under thirty minutes and to Palma de Mallorca in around two and a half hours by fast ferry.
