Often, the story of a farmhouse inevitably begins with the place where it is located, and here it could not be otherwise…. Calci, the magnificent village at the gates of Pisa, is the treasure chest that holds the sixteenth-century Charterhouse; it is a collection of small hamlets with mills that are still recognizable, but it is, even more so, white roads, incredible views, and magnificent olive groves, crossed by streams and leafy valleys.
