Artà occupies the northeastern corner of Mallorca, a town of around 7,000 residents built on a hillside crowned by the fortified Sanctuary of Sant Salvador and the ruins of the Almudaina fortress. Cala Torta, Cala Mesquida, and the Parc Natural de la Península de Llevant are all within fifteen minutes by car.

Artà sits approximately 75 kilometers from Palma de Mallorca, a drive of around one hour via the Ma-15. Bus services connect the town to Manacor and Palma, though most residents rely on a car for daily use. Palma Airport, the island’s main international hub, handles direct routes to most major European cities year-round, with significantly expanded capacity during the summer schedule. The airport is reachable in roughly 55 to 65 minutes from Artà depending on traffic.
