Es Mercadal sits at the geographic heart of Menorca, a municipality that stretches from the island’s central ridge to its northern coastline. The town itself is a well-preserved example of traditional Menorcan architecture, with whitewashed facades and narrow streets radiating from a central square. Monte Toro, the island’s highest point at 358 metres, rises directly above and offers orientation across the entire island. Maó, the island capital, is reachable in under 30 minutes and provides ferry connections to Barcelona and Valencia.
