Villefranche Sur Mer — Villa Mit Meerblick

Villefranche-sur-Mer occupies one of the most naturally sheltered bays on the Côte d’Azur, its deep-water harbour framing a medieval old town of ochre and terracotta facades that rise steeply from the waterfront. The citadelle, the narrow rue Obscure, and the pastel-coloured fishing quays give the town a coherence and architectural integrity that distinguishes it sharply from the more developed resorts on either side. It sits between Nice and Monaco, yet retains a scale and character entirely its own.

Daily life centres on the old port, where the Cosmo Bar and La Mère Germaine remain long-standing fixtures for lunch on the quay. The covered market on place Amélie Pollonnais runs through the morning. The Citadelle Saint-Elme houses municipal galleries and a sculpture garden. The beaches along the bay are within easy walking distance of most residential addresses.

Nice-Côte d’Azur International Airport is approximately 10 kilometres away, reachable in around 20 minutes by car. The SNCF station at Villefranche-sur-Mer connects directly to Nice in under 15 minutes and to Monaco in roughly 20 minutes by regional train. The A8 motorway provides fast road access to Cannes, Menton, and the Italian border, making the town a practical base for the wider Riviera.
