Vallauris sits on the hills above the Côte d’Azur between Cannes and Antibes, a town with a long identity as a centre of ceramics and craft that was given international visibility when Picasso worked and exhibited here in the early 1950s. The surrounding commune includes the elevated residential enclave of Super Cannes, one of the most established addresses on the French Riviera, where large plots, mature pine and olive gardens, and sea views toward Cap d’Antibes define the character of the area.

Daily life draws on both Cannes and Antibes, each roughly ten minutes by car. The Marché Forville in Cannes covers everyday provisioning. Antibes offers the covered Marché Provençal and the old town. Golfe-Juan, the coastal village at the foot of Vallauris, has direct beach access and a working fishing port with several seafood restaurants.

Cannes train station connects to Nice in around 30 minutes and to Monaco in under an hour by regional rail. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is approximately 30 kilometres away, reachable in 25 to 35 minutes by car depending on traffic, with direct flights to most major European cities and intercontinental connections. The A8 motorway provides fast access along the entire Riviera corridor and north toward the Alps.
