Vallauris sits on the hills above Golfe-Juan, between Cannes and Antibes, and carries a cultural identity shaped by its centuries-old ceramics tradition and its association with Picasso, who worked here in the late 1940s and left the town a monumental painted chapel now preserved as a national museum.
