Pollença sits at the northern tip of Mallorca, framed by the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and the Bay of Pollença. It is one of the island’s most culturally intact towns, with a medieval core of ochre stone buildings, a weekly Sunday market that has run for centuries, and a reputation as a long-standing artists’ colony. The town retains a distinctly local character that separates it from the more commercialised resort areas of the south.

Daily life centres on the Plaça Major, with cafés such as Café Espanyol and a strong restaurant scene including Clivia and La Tetera. The beach town of Port de Pollença is four kilometres away. The market town of Alcúdia is a fifteen-minute drive, and the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape, is immediately accessible.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 55 kilometres south, roughly a one-hour drive via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities, with journey times of two to three hours to London, Paris, and Frankfurt. There is no rail connection to Pollença directly, making a car essential. Ferry services from Palma connect to Barcelona, Valencia, and Ibiza for those preferring sea travel.
