Sant Llorenç des Cardassar is a quiet inland municipality in the eastern part of Mallorca, sitting between the Serra de Llevant hills and the coastal wetlands of the Parc Natural de s’Albufera des Grau. The area retains a distinctly local character, largely untouched by the mass tourism that defines parts of the island’s coastline. Its villages, including the main town and Son Carrió, preserve traditional Mallorcan architecture and a pace of life that appeals to buyers seeking privacy and authenticity.

The municipality sits roughly 10 kilometres from the resort town of Cala Millor and its beaches. Porto Cristo, with its harbour restaurants and the Coves del Drach, is around 15 minutes by car. Artà, known for its market and hilltop sanctuary, is a similar distance to the north. Manacor, the island’s second city and a practical hub for shopping and services, is approximately 12 kilometres away.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 60 kilometres to the west, reachable in around 50 minutes by car via the Ma-15. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities and several intercontinental routes, making it one of the busiest airports in Spain by passenger volume. There is no direct rail connection to this part of the island, so a car is essential for daily life and for reaching the airport comfortably.
